Wattie’s Cans Film Festival hits the millionth can milestone
For the last 18 years Wattie’s has sponsored the Wattie’s Cans Film Festival. The festival aims is to increase the number of cans of food donated to the Salvation Army to help stock their foodbanks. 2011 was a big year, with Wattie’s hoping to donate their millionth can to The Sallies. -
Kate Sylvester Presents The Secretary
Kate Sylvester launched her AW12 collection ‘The Secretary’ at the newly opened Auckland Art Gallery. Attended by Media and A-listers including Bic Runga, Antonia Prebble and film director Andrew Adamson, the show also saw the launch of Kate Sylvester Optical Collection and the release of a collaboration with Millton Wines - Muskets At Dawn. -
Wattie’s The Verdict
Wattie’s The Verdict saw Wattie’s Baked BeaNZ stand against Wattie’s Spaghetti in a political style campaign where the two CANdidates took to social networking to speak to their fans. Garnering almost 10,000 Facebook fans between the two of them in just six weeks, Baked BeaNZ emerged triumphant at the online polling booth. The winner was announced at a Kids Can Breakfast at Mangere Central School, where over 300 kids taste tested the Kiwi icons. -
Levi’s® Pops Up in Auckland
Levi’s launched its first Auckland Pop Up store in Britomart’s O’Connell Street with a VIP opening party. Guests mingled to the tunes of Connor Nestor while enjoying Sacred Hill wines and VnC Cocktails. The store offers consumers an innovative take on the world renowned Levi’s® brand whilst showcasing a broad range of men’s products. -
Peroni Gets Creative
Popping up at creative spaces and events around New Zealand, premium Italian beer brand Peroni likes nothing more than enjoying a few brews with friends. Peroni celebrates style and design across the creative industries – from fashion and film to music and magazines. -
Stolen Girlfriends Club at NZFW
The city’s uber cool flocked to Shed 6 during New Zealand Fashion Week for the unveiling of Stolen Girlfriends 2012 Winter Collection ‘Here Lies the Bones’. As always, the brand’s showmanship wowed the jaded Fashion Week crowds, with a pop up men’s show and a quirky impromptu prom dress strip. -
Levi’s® Loves MAC
Levi’s® Black Skinny Jeans were the attire of choice for the waiters at the stylish MAC Party which opened New Zealand Fashion Week. The simple and sexy look of Levi’s® fitted the fashionable brief perfectly, with the black dress code being paramount to MAC’s look. One of the first events at the shiny new Viaduct Events Centre, the party opened Fashion Week with a pop. -
Weet-Bix 100% All Black
202 Kiwi Kids came together at College Rifles Rugby Club, successfully breaking the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest rugby scrum. Joined by All Blacks Jimmy Cowan, Israel Dagg, Hosea Gear, Colin Slade and Adam Thomson who gave professional pointers on the kids scrum technique, the world record attempt came in celebration of Weet-Bix and Sanitarium’s 100% All Black Campaign. Supporting the All Blacks as they moved into the 2011 Rugby World Cup Season, the campaign included the launch of a limited edition collector card series, and a collector’s handbook. -

Models dressed in colour blocked outfits by Hailwood, Isakelle and Sophie Boxer showcased the new collection of bags and purses to Auckland’s social scene at an inner city warehouse. -

Red Rock Deli launched their gourmet range of potato chips at Glengarry Victoria Park in Auckland. Hosted by Masterchef Brett McGregor, lifestyle and food media sampled the tantalising Red Rock Deli range, alongside gourmet dips and fabulous wine. The range is truly deli-inspired, offering a sophisticated and indulgent snack experience that all foodies will love. -
Citta Design Viva Cuba!
Cuba’s tropical allure set the scene for the Citta Design summer launch of ‘Viva Cuba!’ Fashion and lifestyle editors sipped Vodka Mojito’s by VnC Cocktails and nibbled on mini mojito cheesecakes while viewing the colourful new range of homeware products, which included the brands signature hammocks, cushions and colourful beach towels. -
Marmite celebrates its centenary
To celebrate 100 years in New Zealand, Marmite helped reunite Kiwis around the world with loved ones at Christmas, with an online campaign offering 100 one-way flights home for Xmas. The competition was a huge success with the winners scattered all over the world; from the UK, USA, Australia, and as far away as Iceland, Chile, Uganda, Hungary, and Bahrain. -
Nom*d Danse Macabre
Nom*d’s latest showing at New Zealand Fashion Week was an unconventional theatrical performance which took the audience back to a medieval world where life was fragile. The collection showcased experiments in form and construction, and the on-going investigation of oppositions that are the hallmark of the label, and the underlying energy of the Danse Macabre. Casio G-Shock – Shock the World
The who’s who of art, fashion and music came out to celebrate at Casio G-Shock’s SHOCK The WORLD Auckland party. Renowned for hosting the biggest names on the planet, the Auckland event was no different, headlined by US hip hop producer and DJ Just Blaze alongside local band-de-jour Computers Want Me Dead and Casio G-Shock ambassador, David Dallas. Guests also got to preview limited edition and collaborative pieces as well as the original G-Shock watch, first designed in 1983. -
Kate Sylvester Diamond Dogs
It was a star studded cast who gathered on a rainy night during NZ Fashion Week for Kate’s Sylvester’s AW2010 collection Diamond Dogs. Set in an old warehouse decorated with huge chandeliers, the collection paid tribute to Judith “Black Lips” Baragwanath and her glorious, glamorous friends’ the Diamond Dogs.
